Post-Materialism or Realism?

Very rarely will a publication come out that aims to provide its readership with content that is entirely based upon how life actually is. Especially in this time of financial uncertainty the opportunity has been given to look deeper into what it means to be human. Apartamento, for example, focuses on providing a glimpse of how the individual lives, works, and how these two elements can be seen as an expression of character. A departure from the usual "what you need to buy "or "look at what I have" themes normally explored in magazines. Sede, a magazine created by Buenos Aires based designer Juan Ignacio Moralejo can be seen as Apartamento's brother. They share the goal of providing readers with a genuine experience. Sede was started in response to Argentina's struggling economy. Despite the high cost of printing Moralejo remains dedicated to offering a publication that is aesthetically sound and more importantly, true to his philosophic values.
