A Dash of Saltz

Time Out Chicago recently interviewed everyone's favorite Facebook friend, art critic Jerry Saltz to talk about Bravo's newest reality show Work of Art. Saltz has a very concise way of describing his choice to become an art critic instead of an artist. After being asking if he feels a loss from not making art he replies, " People who are artists are the people who have to make art and they make art, and I didn’t have to."

When did you begin calling yourself an artist and how much has your work developed since then? opens at Important Projects in Oakland, featuring new works by our favorite brothers from Chicago, Paul and Scott Cowan.Check it out! When did you begin calling yourself an artist and how much has your work developed since then?
