You have less than 10 days to see Derek Chan's A Way of Life at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. It's a very strong, well executed exhibition and among the best shows from a young artist seen at the MCA Chicago. The last weekly performance is happening on November 23 and is not to be missed.

Bruit de Fond (Background Noise) is a collection of images and photographs conceptualized around what links sonic elements to visual ones. Permanent Collection, Tomorrow in Oakland

From Lauren Anderson's contribution to the Permanent Collection Fanzine
Important Projects in Oakland is hosting the second installment of Permanent Collection, a temporary pop-up shop organized by Golden Age. With Permanent Collection 10 artists were commissioned to design a series of limited edition tote bags and contribute to a related fanzine.
In addition to the bag sets, a series of found objects are introduced into the gallery space. This is the place to be tommorrow on the West Coast.
