Please join us Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 6-10pm at Golden Age for a direct animation workshop and screening from the Echo Park Film Center’s Filmmobile, an eco-friendly cinema and film school on wheels. This is an all ages event and I can say from experience that kids LOVE drawing on film and seeing it projected. So bring your young ones and show them the magic of the movies!
Artists Lisa Marr and Paolo Davanzo from the Echo Park Film Center have been touring in the Filmmobile since June, presenting free outdoor screenings and free film workshops with various organizations along the way. Other venues along the tour include the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis, MN), the Maysles Institute (Harlem, NY), and the Lynden Sculpture Garden, (Milwaukee, WI).
