James Goggin's ‘Pop Culture Color Theory’ lecture is an ongoing, continually evolving project which explores humankind’s attempts at codifying and commodifying color. From video test patterns to International Klein Blue, the Pantone Matching System to the Homeland Security Advisory System, color is endlessly refracted by our subjective perception into adaptable economic and semiotic structures.
