Thirty and Eight

Golden Age is pleased to present Thirty and Eight, Derek Chan and Ayako Yamasaki featuring furniture from Minneapolis based design studio RO/LU.

Thirty and Eight is a celebration of simplicity and of the basic, everyday rituals we use to compose our lives. Chan will be showing a series of thirty delicate ink drawings from his "Daily Drawings" project and Yamasaki will be presenting a curated selection of eight housewares culled from Tokyo's wholesale district on her most recent trip to Japan. In keeping with these rituals, tea will be served each day at three o'clock.

This is Chan's first exhibition with the gallery and directly follows a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and collaborations with Theaster Gates at the Whitney Museum of American Art during the Whitney Biennial.
